Combining the features of HID lamp with LED technology in one? Yes, now it is possible with the new ZOOM head!
There are two types of ZOOM heads available:
- ZOOM19 with a max power of 19W;
- ZOOM32 with a max power of 32W.
The sliding reflector can smoothly adjust the focus angle, and the PIEZO touch switch integrated into the head enables 3-stage power adjustment (100% – 50% – 20%). This ensures adjusting the amount of light generated to the conditions underwater without losing contact with the light when reducing power. Optionally, the three power modes can be extended with an additional OFF mode (100%-50%-20%-OFF).
The focusing angle adjustment range for ZOOM heads:
- ZOOM19 – adjustable from 6° to 35° plus a fixed glow of 70°;
- ZOOM32 is adaptable from 7° to 35° plus a fixed 70° light.
Using a mirror of high efficiency with a glass bulb made of ultra-pure, tempered glass and combined with the XHP50 type LED (for max. 19W) manufactured by CREE® allowed to achieve for the ZOOM19 head a concentrated beam of light at the level of 6° with a glow of about 70°. Whereas the use of XHP70 type LED (for max. power of 32W) manufactured by CREE® enabled the ZOOM32 head a focused luminous flux at the level of 7° with the illumination of approx. 70°.
The aluminum reflector, designed especially for the ZOOM head, underwent special treatment in the manufacturing process, making it resistant to external conditions. This procedure enabled us to mount the mirror permanently on the headlamp.
Thanks to dedicated electronics and CREE® XHP50 / XHP70 LEDs, the lamp generates light with a maximum luminance of 2000lm for ZOOM19 and 4000lm for ZOOM32 at 100% power level, respectively.
Electronics installed inside the head control the LED panel’s temperature through a sensor installed directly on the board, protecting diodes from excessive overheating and damage. The unique design of the housing, which is a passive thermal management system, ensures excellent heat dissipation. Thanks to the use of ribbing in the head housing, the surface of heat exchange with the environment are increased, keeping the temperature of the LED panel at an optimal level.
Designed specifically for the SeaYa LED ZOOM19 and ZOOM32, the electronics signal the approaching end of lamp operation by automatically reducing the output power to 50% and then to 20%. This gives the user time to end the dive or decide on its further course safely. The above-described scheme of work ensures maximum use of the battery while ensuring its safe operation.
ZOOM heads are available in four colors: black, red, blue, and green.
